A Shopify webhook sends store events to Audimate, such as each new order. You need to be able to change the store’s notification settings.

Events you can pick

One trigger adds tasks for one event. For two events, add two triggers.

Get your URL in Audimate

1

Open the workflow's Triggers tab

Open the workflow that should get the tasks, then choose the Triggers tab.
2

Choose Add trigger, then the app

Search for Shopify and select it.
3

Pick the event

When Shopify offers more than one event, pick the one that should add a task, then choose Continue. Every other event it sends is skipped.
4

Copy the URL

Choose Copy. You see the URL once, so leave this window open until you’ve pasted it. The setup waits until the event arrives.

Create the webhook in Shopify

1

Open notification settings

From your Shopify admin, go to Settings, then Notifications, then Webhooks.
2

Choose Create webhook

For Event, pick the one that matches your trigger’s event, such as Order creation for New order. You can’t change the event later.
3

Paste the URL

Set Format to JSON, paste the Audimate URL into URL, and choose Save.
4

Copy the signing key (optional)

Under the webhooks list, Shopify shows Your webhooks will be signed with and a key. Paste it into Signing secret in Audimate and choose Save, so the trigger refuses requests your store didn’t sign.
5

Send a test

In the webhook’s row, choose the menu, then Send test. Audimate gets an example order.

Finish in Audimate

1

Choose Next

Back in Audimate, the setup says Your first event arrived. Choose Next.
2

Fill in each field

For each task field, pick the part of the event that fills it. Under each field you see what this event gives it.
3

Choose where new tasks go

Pick Inbox to start tasks yourself, or your pick-up list to have them start on their own.
4

Choose Turn on

The trigger’s switch turns on, and each new event now adds a task.
See Triggers for what each warning under a field means.

If nothing arrives

The key in Audimate must be the one on your store’s Webhooks page. Copy it again and choose Save, or remove the signing secret from the trigger.
Shopify removes a webhook whose address keeps failing. Check the URL, then create the webhook again.
