Manage your workspace’s identity, policies, and ownership. Owners and admins manage settings. Only the owner can transfer or delete the workspace.

Roles

Every workspace has one owner. Roles govern administration, not access to files. Admins cannot browse another member’s private files. See Sharing and ownership. An admin can explicitly take ownership of an item. That action is recorded in the audit log. Resources left by departed members can be claimed.

Where to find it

Open the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar and choose Workspace settings. Only sections available to your role appear.

Settings

Edit the workspace’s display name, industry, size, and website in General. The workspace identifier in URLs cannot be changed.
1

Upload a logo

In Workspace settings → General, click Upload logo. Choose PNG, JPEG, WebP, or SVG under 2 MB. Raster images open a crop dialog. SVGs use the original image.
2

Save changes

Click Save changes to keep the preview. Remove restores the default avatar.

Policies

Require 2-factor for admins

Manage this requirement in Workspace settings → Policies → Security. See Require 2-factor for admins for requirements and affected actions.

Transfer ownership

Only the owner can transfer the workspace. Enable two-factor authentication first if the workspace requires it.
1

Start a transfer

In Workspace settings → General → Danger zone, click Transfer….
2

Pick the new owner

Choose an active member. Pending invitations are excluded.
3

Confirm the workspace name

Type the name shown in the dialog.
4

Transfer ownership

Click Transfer ownership. The selected member becomes owner and you become an admin.
The owner’s role cannot be changed from the member list. Use this transfer to change who owns the workspace.

Delete a workspace

Only the owner can delete a workspace, from Workspace settings → General → Danger zone. A live paid subscription blocks deletion. Cancel it through Plan & billing before continuing. The workspace’s two-factor policy also applies.
Deleting ends everyone’s workspace access immediately. Only support can restore it, within 30 days. After that its content is permanently removed.
Confirm by typing the workspace name. Members keep their own accounts. Recovery preserves workspace content and uploaded files, with schedules paused. See Account recovery for permanent cleanup timing.

Multiple organizations

Creating a workspace from the sidebar switches you into its setup, with the name you entered already filled in. You cannot create another workspace once you belong to 5 workspaces, including those you joined by invitation. The creation dialog shows the limit and disables Create. The sidebar switcher changes your active workspace. Settings and lists reload for the selected workspace. An open resource returns to its list or Home because it belongs to the workspace you left. See Your organizations for what happens to active desktop work.
