Prerequisites
- For the desktop app, a 64-bit PC running Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) or Windows 11, or a Mac with Apple silicon on macOS 13 or later.
- A Chromium-based browser: Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Arc.
- An Audimate account. Sign up at app.audimate.ai. Email and password sign-up requires confirmation before signing in. Microsoft sign-in can show a verification banner after you enter the app. Google doesn’t allow sign-in from an app’s built-in browser, such as Instagram’s. Open the page in your own browser to use it, or sign up with email. Follow email verification to confirm your address or request another link.
Arro narrates the desktop tutorial, introducing the dock and task cards.
The narration uses recordings included with the app.
The final step shows how to speak to Arro or type in Home’s ask bar.
Select Done, close the tutorial, or press Esc to finish.
If you quit the app before finishing or dismissing it, the tutorial returns when you reopen that workspace.
Once you finish or skip it, the tour is remembered for you on this device.
Workspaces you create or join later skip the tour and go straight to Start your first workflow.
Replay tour in your profile menu starts an optional tour, including the spoken dock tour on desktop.
Start your first workflow
When your first tour ends, or on your first visit to a later workspace, Home offers Start your first workflow. It appears once per workspace, and Replay tour does not bring it back.
In a browser, Home also leads with your first recording until you submit one.
After the desktop app is installed, its Record in the desktop app button opens the app to record.
Getting started checklist
On desktop, the sidebar checklist opens with Ask Arro. In a browser, it starts with Get the desktop app, then Ask Arro. It then offers Record a workflow (on desktop it starts a recording, in a browser it opens New Workflow), which a workflow made from a template does not check off, Connect an app, and Run a task. Invite your team appears when you can invite members. Each step is checked off the first time you do it yourself, and stays checked in every workspace and on every device. A teammate’s workflow or run does not check a step for you. In a browser, Get the desktop app is checked off after your first desktop sign-in. Downloading alone does not complete it. To dismiss the whole checklist, hover over Getting started, open the three-dot menu, and select Hide. Completion and your choice to hide the checklist are saved across workspaces and devices. You can restore a hidden checklist in Profile settings. The collapse button in the right corner keeps a compact progress indicator. The three-dot menu sits immediately to its left.Step 1: Install the desktop app
Recording happens in the desktop app, so the first-time flow starts there. You can read and edit workflows in the browser too, and both share the same account.1
Download the app
Go to audimate.ai/download and download the installer for your computer.

Install and launch
On Windows, open
Audimate.msix and select Install, then launch Audimate from the Start
menu. On a Mac, open the disk image, drag Audimate into Applications, and launch it from there.3
Sign in
The app opens your default browser to sign in, then hands you back. See the
desktop app guide for the full walkthrough.
Step 2: Ask Arro about your screen
Arro sees what is on your screen, so a question about it gets an answer in seconds.1
Bring something to the front
Open a page, email, or file you have a question about.

Ask out loud
Hold your push-to-talk keys (Left Ctrl + Win by default, Left Control + Command on a Mac) and ask, for example “what does this error mean?”. The Arro icon lights up while it listens.

Hear the answer
Release the keys. Arro answers out loud, and Home shows the conversation.
Step 3: Record the task in watch mode
Watch mode captures a workflow: demonstrate the task once and Audimate turns it into a workflow with a drafted playbook.1
Ask Arro to watch
Hold your push-to-talk keys (Left Ctrl + Win by default, Left Control + Command on a Mac) and say “watch me do this”.

Walk through the task once
Complete the task as you normally would. A glowing border traces the screen being recorded, and
a status card tracks elapsed time and captured steps.

Stop
Say “stop watching”. The review editor opens with your captured video.

Review the demonstration
Follow Review the recording to correct annotations, trim footage, and conceal sensitive information.

Submit the recording
Click Submit and confirm. Audimate creates the workflow and notifies you when processing finishes.
Step 4: Review the workflow
Processing already drafts a playbook and, when the task uses per-run values, designs the workflow’s task board. Open the workflow and review the drafted playbook and task board. To have Arro change either one, tag Arro in a comment on the playbook or ask Arro on the desktop. See Changes made with AI.Step 5: Run the workflow
Start workflow, in the top-right of the workflow header, opens a dropdown with two ways to run.
Guide me highlights the control to use, tells you what to do, and waits. Both modes follow the
playbook. Run with AI follows the procedure once and asks you for missing inputs. The workflow’s
task board queue stays untouched.
Both modes live in the desktop app. In a browser, a dialog asks you to confirm first: click Open
desktop app to hand off. The dialog also has a download link if you do not have the app yet. See

Follow the run in the Tasks view, which replays what the agent did step by step, and Arro tells
