# Comments

> Comment on pages and playbooks, mention teammates to notify them, tag @Arro in a comment to have the change made and answered in the thread, and review every thread in one panel.

Leave comments on any page or playbook, mention a teammate to bring them in, and tag **Arro** in one
to have Arro do the work and reply in the thread.

Comments are on every plan and work the same in the browser and in the desktop app. You need edit
access to comment. With view access you can read threads but not add to them. Arro's work draws on
your workspace's [monthly usage](/account/plan-limits#monthly-usage).

## Comment on text

    Click the **Comment** button in the toolbar. The text turns yellow and a comment box opens under it.

    Type your comment and press **Enter**, or click the arrow. **Shift** + **Enter** starts a new line.
    The text stays highlighted, a count appears beside it, and the [comments panel](#see-every-comment)
    opens with your thread.

If you close the box without posting, the highlight goes away. Click the highlighted text or the
count to open the thread and reply.

## Mention a teammate

Type **@** in a comment and pick a teammate from the list, or keep typing to search it by name. When
you post, each teammate you mention gets a [notification](/account/notifications) that opens the
page or playbook. A teammate who cannot open it is not notified.

## Ask Arro in a comment

Type **@** in a comment and pick **Arro**, first in the list, or type `@Arro`. Arro reads the comment
as a request about the text the thread is on, makes the change, and replies in the same thread.
Until then the thread shows *Arro is working on this...*.

Arro reads the whole thread before your comment as context, so a reply such as "@Arro do what Sam
suggested" works.

**Ask Arro** starts the same thing: select text and click **Ask Arro**, and the comment opens with
Arro already tagged. **Cmd**/**Ctrl** + **J**, or right-click and choose **Ask Arro**, does the same
for whole paragraphs.

A change applies as soon as Arro makes it, and anyone with the page or playbook open sees it live.
The thread stays on the new text, so a reply keeps working on the same passage. Arro uses your
permissions, so it can only change what you can edit.

### Several requests at once

Each thread gets its own request, so you can ask in several threads without waiting. Every change
lands on its own thread's text. A request that rewrites the whole page or playbook first checks
whether it changed since Arro read it. If it did, Arro reads it again before rewriting. A thread
takes one request at a time, and Arro works in up to 5 of your threads at once.

## See every comment

Click the comments button at the right of the editor's toolbar. It shows how many threads are open.
The panel also opens whenever you post a comment or a reply.
The panel lists every thread in reading order, with its replies and Arro's progress. Click a thread's
quoted text to scroll to it.

**Resolve** takes a thread's highlight off the text, and **Reopen** puts it back. A thread whose text
was deleted stays in the panel, marked *(no longer in the document)*.

## When Arro cannot finish

| Arro stopped partway through a request | "I stopped partway through this. Ask me again to finish it." |
| Arro stopped without replying | *Arro stopped before replying. Tag it again to retry.* |
