# Keybinds

> Set global shortcuts for speaking to Arro, muting the microphone, opening a text prompt, and advancing the current activity from another app.

Choose shortcuts that work while another app is in front.

Use **Arro → Keybinds** in the desktop app. Enable Arro in **General** first.

## Shortcuts

| Control               | What it does                                  |
| --------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| **Push to talk**      | Hold to speak in push-to-talk mode            |
| **Mute / unmute mic** | Turn your microphone on or off                |
| **Action button**     | Double-tap to advance Arro's current activity |
| **Type a prompt**     | Open a text box for Arro                      |

The displayed keys are the shortcuts configured on this device.

## Change a shortcut

    In **Arro → Keybinds**, click **Record** beside the shortcut. The control shows **Press keys…**.

  <Step title="Press the new keys">Press your preferred combination. The control displays the saved shortcut.</Step>

Press **Escape** to cancel recording a shortcut. Clear a shortcut with its adjacent clear button to disable it.
If a shortcut conflicts with another app, choose a different combination.

The push-to-talk shortcut depends on your [Microphone](/account/microphone) listening mode.
